My dad got a new wife, he has three children from different mothers, am on holiday, I found out his wife and him are expecting a baby boy in August.. Am feeling weird, at my age having someone so young as siblings... Is this feeling even normal

I can’t imagine how that would feel. Growing up knowing only my parents and brother; then being introduced to new siblings and knowing my dad has a new wife.


Certainly you are valid in feeling weird and I’m sure you are praying asking God for some answers. Guess the best you can do is take it day by day and feel grateful for the family you have. I’m sure there will be lots of love even if it’s not what you are used to growing up.

You know I tried to be grateful for the family I have but things are not the same... I feel they will continue to be messed up

Could be a good lesson if you ever want to be a mother. A practice run without the full responsibility.

What do you mean by practice without full responsibility

It's their kid, their responsibility. But you could lift that responsibility and handle it as a practice. Instead of 24/7 you could see how it is to have to take care of it for a few hours.

I have a sister who is 15 years older then me. My dad is 17 years older than his youngest brother. My nephew was 21 when his youngest sister was born

It's honesty not as weird once the baby comes along. Over time you don't even realise the age gap

Yes.. I have three 1/2 brothers and sisters. I have 7 step brothers sisters. I hear what your saying. I'm sure somewhere out there there are more.. who knows lol I didn't know my real dad until I was 30 something
