What do you do when your mom is calling you a narcissist?

My mom and I barely get along and we fight often. She has tried to control my life from the moment I turned 18, but I began fighting back at the age of twenty. I’m now twenty-eight and my mom has recently started calling me a narcissist because I don’t listen to people’s advice (I mean, when you constantly nag them about the advice, they’re not going to) and I apparently think that I’m always right and everyone else is wrong. I don’t think that at all; I just think that trying to control a twenty-eight year old woman who has a job and pays rent is ridiculous to me. What do I do about her calling me this? I’m at my wits end with her.

She must always been controlling it never start at 18. Maybe you just was late in starting your independence.

I went through something similar with my mum and now I am going through it with my sisters. My advice you might need to cut her out of your life.

Maybe just ignore her as much as you can? That’s what I do when my mom gets on my nerves

You limit the time you spend with her. If she starts calling you names, then get up and leave.
