Why do people act like a Caribbean family can’t have a darker skinned , and most of the other lighter/fair skin tones in their family?

I’ve had people mostly white peoples ask me if that was my biological mother, nobody else hardly ever says that. People who aren’t ignorant and I guess educated have a better sense of it

I once offended a guy because I did not know the difference between different south Asian clothing styles. It’s a fact some people have limited experience and make incorrect judgments or theories about others. Tell yourself your so happy that their ignorance doesn’t annoy you or effect you. I have to remind myself not to be upset too, not about the issue you mentioned, but I’ve been rejected by friends for talking too fast, and that hurt, but I decided I would not take it personally, cause God did not reject me.
