Will my pup recognize me whenever I go back?

The last time I saw my pup he was 5 months old and we were inseparable.

He now lives with my family and he’s 1 year old. I don’t know when I see him again, maybe couple months or maybe 6 months later. I wonder if he’ll remember me when I decide to have a trip back to home.

He will definitely recognize you by your scent. I bet he'll be doing the happy dance. Just talk to him like you always did. Once he locks into your scent he won't leave your side.
There was a story not long ago where a dog and his owner were separated for 3 years. When they were reunited the dog was so happy that he knocked the owner down when he tried jumping in his arms

He'll smell you and remember you. It may take a moment because sight memory isn't always as bonded, but once he gets your scent it'll be on :)

He’s huge now though, I do hope he’ll remember me soon, because he’s a giant breed and I think he is about 60 kg now. Back then he was tiny and wouldn’t sleep without me.

He’s also quite temperamental and I am worried to meet him next time and as much as I am excited, I am also worried about myself if he doesn’t recognize me haha

try to be calm, not worried when you see him. they can smell the pheromonal difference and pick up on your anxiety, but he won't understand the "why" of it.

He might remember you. Dogs are good like that. I'd recommend making sure you bond with him during your visit and that will help too. Have fun!
