This is a sincere suggestion but ask the parents. They know their child best and can tell you what they like specifically. Especially if it’s a birthday gift, you wanna get something they will use for sure.

I expected that so a giftcard or something that pairs with it, I only know 2 9years olds both are near surgically attached to their iPads
