Trending & News When I left when I got a divorce my ex-wife was so pissed off I mean when I walked away I took two pair of underwear two pair of socks a couple T-shirts and I left and she tore my ass up I gave her the house I gave her the Jeep the boat the only thing I got was my dirt bike she got the horses and then she ended up losing it all but she put me through hell living hell for a lot of years and no matter what she did to me I only had one thing on my mind and that was I was going to show my kid how to handle situations like this because I knew one day he would grow up and the way that I handled it he would do the same exact thing so that's what I did I ate s*** I took the pain I paid the price
I would ask her I would tell her stop doing what she's doing stop talking crap about me too because when my kid gets older he's going to find out the truth and it's not going to be for me and that's what happened he came to me lots of times wanted to know everything that happened and I told him I would not tell him I said ask your mom I said ask your mom's mom and dad your grandparents ask your mom's brother and sisters they will tell you and that they don't tell you the truth and that's on them but I won't tell you until you're 18 well he went to them and they told him the truth about everything and he already knew it he was just trying to confirm it but he ended up hating her for what she did and I had to tell him look it that's between me and her that's the past it's over with I've lived through it
He wanted to know why I still wasn't angry at her but I never did tell him that I dislike her so much it's unreal but when I was around her I always treated her with respect because I know my kid was watching
The happiest day of my life was when she called me up and said that she found the guy that she's going to marry and I said okay great she said you want to talk to him I said no that's okay he was with her at the time he asked him do you want to talk to Steve he said no next thing I know I hear hello and it's him I started laughing
His name was Mike I said Mike congratulations I hope you guys have a wonderful life together and I had the biggest smile on my face as I'm talking to him and he goes well thanks I said bro you know what I'm so f****** happy right now because I knew she would stop with me I knew it was over with right here but I told him I said bro I am so happy right now for you guys I said I'm so f****** happy if I was gay I would give you a f****** b****** that's how happy I am and we both started laughing our asses off and then she wanted to know why we were laughing but I was serious too
That phone call is the best phone call I've ever gotten but anyway yeah even to this day if I see her I'm I smile and I don't try to talk to her too much I try to get away but yeah always trying to teach your kids the best thing the right way
Some things in life you never want to repeat. It has held me back from so good relationships my kid is 6 5" beautiful heart big buff smart boy. Fireman paramedic a gentle soul that is needed can become the biggest badass very discipline and I would go through it all over again to get to the same results if I had to
And thank you for your words that means a lot
I was the product of a broken home. Neither of my parents acted like my friend. Sadly they did not try to buy my affections with sports cars or expensive vacations either.
yes. We talk often beciase I want to make sure kids are first!
he wanted the divorce. He took all his anger out on me. I didn’t care and stated that’s what he will do for the rest of the time while raise kids separated…
So I called often. I shared often. I make sure kids are not use as pawns.
slowly…he became more mature…now my daughter said she doesn’t want to go to daddy…too much anxiety for her…
I do think he to work with her/talk to her the reaso why daddy is an angry person.. she understands and she now stands up to dad. He of course will always love her in his own ways…
he is better now and I am still calling to make sure we are on the same page with raising kids with teaching them about health, education, medical, finances, being a good decision maker, making good/right friends…etc.
As I continue to go through this journey…I don’t regret the hard work put in to raise these kids when their dad was raised by two angry parents with good heart.
we can all make the changes we need to make our lives better…. not with fear and not with control…but with love and care.
I was married to my daughters dad but when we split up it was due to his addictions and immaturity, due to this is was hard to even talk to him or try and reason with him about anything. To this day I dont talk to him and dont care to either.

My parents divorced when I was 10. They didn't speak from that day on. Didn't even pretend to like each other.
I remember, as a kid, when she took us to see our dad in restaurants, she always sat by herself at a separate table until we were done seeing him.
The joys of coming from a broken home!
I have never seen any divorce cases in older generation. All my friend's parents are still together. Divorce cases are on the rise in India. There are many divorce cases in my generation. Most of the people go for out of the court settlement. We compare India to other countries, India has the lowest percentage of 1.1 % divorce rate in the world. But the number of divorce Cases are increasing YoY basis.
She took it out on my Mom - and manipulated the kids against the other side of the ''family''.
I don't hate her - I just want nothing to do with this person any more.
Which until now works well since 20 years.
I’ve tried to be but he’s too angry, but his ex wife and I are friends as we both have one of his kids and want our kids to grow up together. He can’t provide that for the kids, so the moms of his other kids, and I get the kids together. Although he demands we don’t.
voted yes on behalf of my divorced parents, who are besties
My parents would never speak to each other. And used me as a pawn between each other.
My "friend", is not friends with her ex husband. She never wants to be. Why should she have to. SHe has full custody including financial respons. He doesn't get to see them or have to pay for them
I could never be friends with the woman who separated me from my son and deceitfully, selfishly and ruthlessly destroyed my life.
