How do you feel when you find an old email from a family member or friend who has died?

I was going through some old emails, cleaning up my inbox, when I stumbled across an email from a cousin who died earlier this year; he was like a big brother to me. I paused, feeling a bit sad, and then smiled, remembering the good times we used to have.

Has this ever happened to you? How did you feel?

I do not receive emails for my deceased parents. However, I do receive junk mail for them on occasion. Yes, it does seem weird as if for a nanosecond that they might still be alive.

My grandparents and parents don't use email. My siblings are all alive and only one cousin has died, but I was not close to him.

I found emails from my childhood sweetheart recently. I’m not sure how I felt… It’s difficult to read them.

I tend to avoid anything that might stir such strong emotions in me. I will delete the email and not read it if this person was so close to me. Or if its for a loved one i cared for
