Why would someone have their Instagram on private, have 1000’s of followers & only follow like 30?

He’s allowing people to follow him, but not interested in following back? So if he’s allowing strangers to follow him, why not just change your settings for the public to see if you’re ok with curious people?

Might be bots, or anybody you're friends with on Facebook are automatically made into friends on IG. There's one IG account I made that's literally blank as I got created it and immediately left, and yet I got like 52 followers.

He curates his feed and doesn't use his insta for random bullshit.

Frankly that sounds like my ideal approach.

Social media is a tool to consume content. It isn't a requirement for others to use it as neurotically as you do.

It would get really annoying following everyone who followed you. Also putting your profile on private stops the low life scammers from commenting.
