Is it time to give all new borns a "classic" name?

Boris Johnson's wife has just had a baby. It's been named "Frank Alfred Odysseus Johnson".

The Odysseus bit was picked by Boris and of course is the Greek guy who abandoned his wife and baby to go on an adventure and bang other women.

But I've been thinking, that kids going to want to learn Greek classics to understand his name, which isn't a bad thing because people who don't have a grasp of the classics aren't really the type you want to live next door to or employ are they?

So, do you think we should give all new born a classic middle name just to drag society up from the gutter? I do.

Boobslayer's middle name is Aphrotitty in reference to his admiration of all things boob-related. Being the proud boob enthusiast that he is, Boobslayer adores every term for boobs, from melons to milkers, from fried eggs to chesticles, from honkers to bazoombas, from coconuts to fiery biscuits, from cantaloupes to boom booms, and from jugs to mammaries -- there's no one breast-related term he doesn't treasure.

If you're lucky enough to witness Boobslayer in his natural habitat, you'll spot him joyously appreciating every kind of boob imaginable. Boobslayer will never forget the feeling of his first encounter with a melon and his obsession with their availability has been growing ever since. His adoration for feathered fried eggs is no less than unconditional and can easily spot them from miles away.

He marvels at the firmness and shape of each chesticle and the delightful bounciness of every honker. Every bazooka is an invitation to adventure and coconuts have a special place in Boobslayer's heart. Fiery biscuits represent the magic and mystery of each set of boobs and when he catches sight of some cantaloupes, his eyes light up with admiration.

No one can resist the allure of Boobslayer's beloved boom booms and he finds solace in the warm embrace of a couple of jugs. From top to bottom, Boobslayer lives for boobs, and that is why my middle name is 'Aphrotitty.'

Define "classic". There are cultures older than ancient Greek. Hebrew names that have been anglicised like David, Solomon, Joshua, Aaron, Ethan, etc predate Boris's pseudointellectual bullshit.

Odysseus didn't "abandon his wife and baby and go on an adventure and bang other women". Odysseus went off to fight in The Trojan War for 10 years. (See The Iliad.) Later, heading home from the war, he is forced to spend 10 years at sea undergoing harrowing events in which his crew is all eventually killed. (See The Odyssey.) He ultimately returns to his wife Penelope killing those who tried to get with her.

@goaded there was an episode of TOS where the go to a planet that has a civilization patterned after Ancient Rome and Kirk uses that name. In the first movie with Chris Pine it IA also mentioned. I am sure there are more.

In the original "Star Trek", the middle name of "Tiberius" was never specified in any episode. However, it was established about 50 years ago that it was "Tiberius". I don't think the name was used in animated "Star Trek" either, but my memories are fuzzy there; no so in the original series. However, by 1976, it was known within the Star Trek fan universe that Tiberius was the middle name.
