I think it should. You've got no idea what gender it'll choose when it grows up and in fact might try several before setting on one. If you give it a traditional gender specific name like Dave or Fiona then your imposing your antiquated beliefs on it.
People complain they get confused why Dave doesn't want to be known as he/him when his names dave, so giving the chid a gender neutral name solves that problem.

Those names are specific to two genders.
Try Christian Straight camp. I was a Councillor in one, it's where I met my wife. Various conversion treatments are used to help you walk on the straight and narrow path. Hours of prayer, counciling, religious study, canning, spanking, paddling, aversion therapy, Psychoanalysis, Hypnosis water boarding and marraige therapy.
I've seen first hand how this works. My wife used to be a lesbian and had a secret girlfriend growing up, she was very unhappy because of it. I remember when her parents dropped her off on the first day age 15. My wife and I are happily married with kids and have a good sex life, the thought of sleeping with another woman again now makes her physically sick thanks to the treatment she received and embraces Jesus and a Christian life.
I have a hot news flash for you: If you are born with an X and a Y chromosome in every gene in every cell of your body, you are a male. If you are born with two X chromosomes in every gene in every cell of your body, you are female. I'm sorry, but that's it. You can have all the so-called gender reassignment surgery you want, which is nothing but cosmetic mutiliation. You can have all the hormone treatments you want. It doesn't change your genetic makeup at all. You are pretty much stuck with what you are, what you're born with. I'm sorry to tell you but NOT EVERYTHING is political! NOT EVERYTHING is subject to political correctness, no matter how outlandish! NOT EVERYTHING is ideological. NOT EVERYTHING conforms to woke ideology or indoctrination. SOME THINGS JUST ARE! Most trans or non-binary people understand how chromosomes work and know the difference between their biological sex and gender, that's the entire reason it's bothersome to a lot of them.
It's no attempt to indoctrinate, it's just an attempt to feel more comfortable with what their mind says they are, it's more like having a misprint fixed partly.

I love names like Makenzie, Max, and Alex because they can be given to either gender, but not because they are gender neutral. I also like the name Jake a whole lot. I love those names because of their versatility, not because of their ambiguity. Alex can become Alexander or Alexandria and Max can become Maxine or Maximus. Makenzie is Makenzie and Jake is a boy's name. I do not think that it should be mandated to name children with neutral names.
I don’t have kids and don’t really want them. But I’ve had names picked out for years now that I would name a future child if I have them. They may not be gender neutral ( I mean I guess one of them is) but they’re the names that feel right to me. And if I had a child and they didn’t like their name there is the option to change it. My mom allowed me to legally change my name
Oh absolutely! Insuring that everyone is safe from bullying should be government's top priority. Therefore, parents should be required to give their children gender neutral names or face the legal consequences. That's not ironic. Punishing people who break the law is not bullying. Besides, bullying to top bullying is reasonable.
Gender neutral names will stop gender bullying for sure, and protect the tender feelings of even the most confused and aberrant minorities. We need to embrace change.
I also usually assume all "gender neutral" name are just girl's names, anyway. I can't respect a man who's name is "Jamie" or "Leslie." There are no such things as "gender neutral names;" 75% of the time, they're just girls names.
And if your child ends up as wanting to be trans or "non binary," then you've already completely failed as a parent in every possible way and their names should be the least of your worries. If this was a better reality, these parents would be given the guillotine and their messed-up child taken into compulsory psychological re-education centers.

I´m not sure if that´s really solving a problem since there are differences between genders that are not negiotable. No. Boys are boys, girls are girls, their hormones tell them so. You can teach a girl to play softball and race bicycles, shell be happy, but insist a boy should play with dolls and have tea parties, he'll be miserable. Boys know they are boys and girls know they are girls. Both look up to their parents and know one is make, the other is female. Absolutely not, parents should be allowed to name their kids any name they pleases (provided said name is not abusive / mockingly of course) they should not have crazy loons telling them what they can or can't name their kids.
What should be compulsory on the other hand, is respecting people who identify as attackhelicopters or has the sexuality super straight. Far to often are these poor souls tormented by bigoted charlatans masquerading as people who pretends to want equality, while they actually want to stomp down anything that don't fit their narrow world-view.
In my opinion that's going too far in the politically correct sense to give babies gender neutral names only because they may later in life wish to have another gender. Up to the parents to give the name they want, but as far as I know, the majority, let's say at least 75% of people, just stick to the gender they were born with.

Hard disagree. A girl is a girl, biologically. A girl can want a masculine version of her name, or dress more boy-ish, whatever she would want. But you cannot change biology, and even if.. Trans people is a minority, why assume your child wants to be something its not, already from birth? Id name child whatever fit, and if they grew up and hated it, they could change it.
You're treating the symptom, not the disease. First, we should burn everyone's genitals off at birth, then we should give them a number and maybe tattoo it where their genitals used to be.
No I don’t think it should be. To do something like that based off, statistically, a very very small percentage chance of your baby being transgender or fluid or whatever seems overblown. If you’re going to want to only name children “gender neutral” names, why even name them at all? Just call them child…that’s how ridiculous it seems

As soon as it is born, (or even before with an ultrasound machine) you can tell what gender it will be using the simple procedure of looking between its legs. If that is confusing, try looking at a DNA sample: XX = Female, XY = male. It will stay that way for the person's entire life no matter what you or they say.
