If a bio mom and dad have a baby, and they disagree on what to name it, who has the legal right to choose the name? I’m assuming it would be the mother, as she’s carried the baby and most custody rights etc tend to go to mothers more easily. But if the dad tried to fight the name, does he have any legal standing? Or is it too silly of an issue to warrant legal action?
The name of the kid should be determined by both parents. Why would a mom want to exclude the father at the start of their kids life? Either chose better or get an abortion, don't make the kid suffer for your mistakes.

I don't know, but if they can't both find a name that they both like, they shouldn't have had a baby together. Poor kid is going to grow up with them constantly fighting because of how childish they are.
Well the mom will be passed out in the delivery room and the dad will be the one writing the name on the birth certificate. But i rather the kid have a hyphenated first name if we can't decide

The father can if he wants to because it is still half his chromosomes and usually the baby will get his last name
Compromise between the two should be a sensible end.
