How old is too old to help your children in the shower?

My younger sister is 11 and my mom still washes her hair for her in the shower, like every time.

Am I the only one that seems strange to?

Hair washing actually seems legit particularly if it's really long or she needs some sort of assistance with it.

Anything other than hair would be weird to me but hair isn't.

I think what would make a difference is why your sister wants mom's help or if mom is insisting (if she is).

Those details matter but on the face of it I'm not weirded out just yet.

My 4 year old washes herself in the shower. An 11 year needing help is ridiculous unless they are special needs.

Maybe your sister hasn't learned how to wash her hair properly. She's old enough to do it on her own tho.
