Yeah, I was too. My mother was also toxic, narcissistic, and had undiagnosed mental illnesses.

Her constant gaslighting and criticism is still something I'm recovering from, now.

Asap, get out of her house. Get a job, get earning your own money, and get a good psychologist you can trust and start working on deprogramming the damage your abusive mother inflicted.

Good luck, it does get better, stay strong.

Ignoring your mother is acceptable. People like our mothers project hard onto their kids.

I’m not quite sure what the question is there. But clearly if she is toxic and a narcissist, I wouldn’t take what she says very seriously at all.


Focus on your own life. Stay positive. Keep doing the best job you can. And do your best to ignore those negative comments.

If she is toxic, of course she would talk with the intention to hurt you most times and doesn't mean what she says is necessarily true
The best thing you can do is ignore and get a job and move out and never come back
