I believe I would've been kidnapped long ago.

Flashback to 2013:

I was 12 and on a vacation with my parents and 2 cousins. I wandered off in the park with my skates. At some point there man that briefly got out of his van and kept insisting me to try on his new rollerblades on his van after I said no twice. Suddenly my father appeared and asked why if there is anything he can help him in. He sounded nervous, didn't look in the eyes anymore and replied that he got lost and needed to find an address to a supermarket nearby. Liar. Then he drove off quickly. Someone else in the area claimed he saw the same guy asking another kid to try his rollerblades too and the kid ran away.

Would you say this was an attempted kidnapping for sure?

It is possible that the man in the van was definitely attempting to abduct you. His behavior was certainly suspicious, and the fact that he was seen asking another child to try on his rollerblades suggests that he may have been targeting children. However, it is also possible that he was simply lost and was trying to find his way to the supermarket.

yeah the guy seemed suspicious and up to no good. Someone else reported him... likely a witness that saw the other kid running away. He wasn't heard from nor seen ever again.

It's good that someone else reported the man. It's important to be aware of suspicious behavior and to report it to the authorities. It's also important to trust your instincts and to say no if you feel uncomfortable.

If this story is true, and you're not a guy disguised as a female, then yes, it was probably a guy trying to kidnap you.

But question: this was back in 2013. Did you report it? Did your dad report it? If not, what would it matter now in 2023 unless you saw that guy trying to do it again? Back in 2013 would've been your opportunity to get police on him and save other kids from being abducted, not pondering on it now ten years later.

Someone else reported it (probably someone that saw the kid running away) and he wasn't heard from nor seen afterwards.

I know it's been ten years later but it's still scary to know someone had terrible intentions towards me.

If I were you I would not even be dwelling on the past like that. Scary, yeah. But you did survive, and people having bad intentions towards you is unfortunately the world we live in. Hell, I used to have predators at the gym pursuing me when I was a teen. I even almost got killed more than once in my life by people who either missed their chance, or they confused me for someone else. But I don't dwell on that stuff. Others out there have even had it worse than me. Evil exists. It is what it is.

Not to be rude but you need to shake that off and keep moving with life.

I had a flashblack when I hear on the news about a child kidnapping and how they used the Amber alert. Those predators are big cowards. He was so assertive, looking straight in the eyes when doing his pathetic dialogue about the rollerblades but not brave anymore when my dad appeared. He suddenly got nervous. Cowards alright.

Yeah dad had a bad feeling about him. He said that his posture and the way he was starting at me seemed like he was moments away from snatching me by force.
It's sad there are sick people out there. My mind is puzzled. Why would anyone want to harm children, the innocents?

I have a younger brother, he's 15. I've always watched out for him. I don't get how someone can hurt a child.

yeah he showed up right on time. According to my dad, he said his posture and the way he was starting at me (a different stare) looked like he was moments away from physically snatching me. Scary. Sick scumbags out there.
I still can't understand how can anyone even think about harming a child. I can't stand pedophiles either. Why would anyone find children attractice? Sick.
