Have you ever had a family member who is a drug addict ask for money?

My sister is asking me for $1400 for rent since I pay $875 every 2 weeks towards a mortgage that is only $425 a month, thing is she's supposedly the Power of Attorney of the person whose name is on the house. Yet the money I've been paying hasn't gone towards bills or house payment.

You need to speak with an Attorney who may be able to help you and there are relatives who will take your money and use it the wrong way such on drugs / alcohol this is totally wrong of your sister you could end up losing the house to sheriffs sale / end up getting utilities shut off yes it can happen.

i'm a little confused. aside from the legal stuff, i'd honestly just stop giving her $1400 or any sort of money. and stop contacting her. i know it's hard, but she really doesn't care about you because she is using you for money and lying and taking that money for drugs. rehab would be way better for her.
