Why do some kids misbehave when they're in public but are well behaved at home?

My kid behaves well in public about as well as he does at home. Its at the grandparent's houses where he misbehaves the most, often leading to judgmental looks from my parents and in-laws. I maintain its because they let him get away with pretty much anything when he's there without us...

Its all due to parenting , children are not stupid , if they make a public scene they get a reaction , and more often than not , this works -- that's why. Need to stick to your guns , as I did ---

It depends on the parents. If they see their mom and dad living a bullshit life they won't their parents seriously. But they see their mom and dad as hard working with good ethics then they will listen to them when they go outside.
