Why wouldn't you want to become friends with someone who would be a good friend for you to have? Why won't you let them in?

It seems like it is getting harder and harder to make new friends. I hope you will have some answers as to why that is, and how to change it and get new friends?

Because as people get older they get more set in thier ways. As people get older they become more cynical. I used to work at a job where the avg. Age was much younger and I noticed this alit with the younger generations. That they were very passionate and hot tempered they'd blow up with someone, but not even think about it the next day. Older people are much more likely to hold a grudge. Or simply decide they don't like you based on a few things about you without fully even knowing you. Basically they think they've read this book already.

people get set in their ways when they get older. When I was younger I had a whole tribe. I belonged to a gym and hung out with a whole crowd of guys. i was the kid of the bunch.

I am friendly myself... those who respond positively to it usually stay around

those who do not respond, or worse... respond negatively, I just move on rather than engage and respond bad

that's just how I've done pretty much my entire life
