Someone texted me just minutes ago on my FB messenger. The woman claims my friends and I invited her to a party but that I gave her a false number and fake address and that I said ''You need a make-over'' in 9th grade.
This doesn't ring a bell to me. I really don't remember being mean to anyone so I'm taken aback by that claim. My reply was a Really? I did? She said yes (my name), you did.
My HS was large and new people kept filling the classes each year. I had my own group of friends and didn't speak to half the class so some things are a blur to me. The woman's name sounds familiar and I think I had her in one class but that's it. I don't recall anything else. What do I proceed with this claim I have no recollection of?

“I’m sorry, I don’t remember doing or saying any of this but you clearly remember it. I’m not the person I was in ninth grade, as I imagine you aren’t either. For whatever it’s worth, I’m sorry I said and did those things to you and made you feel worse about yourself in a time where I’m sure teenage insecurities ran high.”
I doubt it needs to go much farther than that. You clearly dislike that this impression of you was made and an apology is really the only response you can give that doesn’t make you look like an asshole. There are plenty of things we say where we don’t realize their impacts until people force us to confront those things. Be an adult and apologize even if you don’t remember.
Thank you. I don't remember what she's claiming but yes I'll apologize either way. Most people and even a couple teachers used to described me as a very mature girl in HS, too mature for my age (the total opposite of immaturity teenage hormones) so yeah her claim is quite a surprise to me.
Id ask them to tell me what they remember.
I will. I'm surprised with her claim. That's the first and only time someone ever tells me something like that. I've always been taught manners and treat others well at home so yeah I'm taken aback.
I can see you were raised right.😊
