Who are you closer to - Your mom or your dad?

I'm pretty close with both. But I think I'm a bit more closer to my mom.

I don't think I could answer that. When you look at me you see my dad as we look very similar. But I'm a combination of both my parents. I like to think I'm a good, caring, loving person like my mother. But I'll never be as good, caring and loving as her even if I live to 100. And I like to think I get my strength of character, sense of right and wrong, and respect (both self respect and respect of others) from my dad. But if I ever a 10th of the respect my father had when he passed I'll be a smashing success.

I hit the lottery when with parents. So when you ask which one I'm closer to. My response is I'm lucky to have known them. I'm incredibly lucky to have had them as parents. I don't know how to answer which I'm closer to.

Hmm I'm pretty close with both but I would say I'm closer with my dad we're both nerds, both bodybuilders, both martial artists, painters, writers and work on my truck together often, etc and have very similar train of thoughts so yeah definitely my dad there's a lot more we do together then me and my mom.

Dad... but even that is starting to fade. Just because he's like my mom and doesn't understand that I don't consider myself cis... aaand he just old like that.

My mom? I don't remember when we were close. When i hit teen hood, i noticed how close she pushed herself towards me. And making me into something she believed was good for me. And as the years went by... i wanted nothing more than to leave her and that house.

My mom, she went to therapy and as a result we relate to each other better because she’s more familiar with how relationships work and respecting boundaries. My dad never really went and he’s not an objectively terrible person, but he has these very specific ideas about the world and how it works and the roles men and women should play in it. It doesn’t help that those views oppose my own.

I'm close with both but I'm a daddy's girl. I've got my dad's personality as far as gift of gab. My mom's personality as far as we are both wild child, free spirit, adventurous types.

I look exactly like my momma, a mini me with some of my dad's Italian side added.

Neither, but had nice parents. My life was/is very strange. I was never treated bad, never caused major problems, never in trouble with the law, was cute, and was an A student well until 17. After 17 I became kind of an invisible ghost. I finally found someone that saw me as a person so I married her.

My parents were to busy trying to take care of a basket case and a snob as older sisters that constantly fought each other to pay any attention to me. In the end I have this feeling that it doesn't matter how you treat girls because they will always get attention anyways.

I think when I was young I was closer to my mom. When I got older I was closer to my dad. Him and I were pretty close the last 20-30 years he was alive.

Dad at first because he was not a disciplinarian unlike my mum. I do whatever I want. Then later, mum when I realized her way was more sustainable for a better future.
