Do you have to text your friends first and would you have friends if you only kept the ones that message first?

Nope, to be fair tho most my friends and I only message in our group chat, I only message some friends on the side sometimes. Once I feel like I’m msging a friend first a lot (usually with online friends) I stop until they start msging me first a couple times. So I do test if a friendship is only lasting because I’m making the effort

Friends should make about an equal amount of effort to stay in touch unless one of them is going through something emotionally like grieving a loss. Then you might be the one doing most of the reaching out for while.

I don't rely on texting for important conversations. Those are either done by a V2V call or in person.
