Who is your favorite family member?

Not including spouse, because that would be too obvious. I pick my kids, because they are so fun to talk to and hang out with. Super funny and intelligent with so much in common.

My chicago aunt... she has her head on right. Also she was the first to my realization of why I was so unhappy... and how to fix it. So far, i've trusted her enough, more than my mom. I have a dallas aunt, houston aunt... and home aunt. I love them all but things have changed. Dallas aunt is now with home aunt and houston aunt is now a dallas aunt. Got a cousin too that's now home cousin with her daughter in my bed. We used to see each other every year or so... and now...:c

We know and understand each other very well, mostly without words. We know our fears and shortcomings. The bond we share gives a lot of security and acceptance. We share and keep our relationship vibrant and alive. We care for each other.

it's difficult to pick just one above all... because I do like a few a lot, but for different reasons and in different ways, first I though of my younger brother since we pretty much grew up together and we got so close, but I also had a great cousin of mine, and since both were around my age we would get along so well

there were also a couple of relatives who were older and I would see less, but every time I saw them they would be just great to me, and that was my great-grandma and one of my aunts (the one that would bake, lol) so they were sure my "favorite" relatives, yes... but also, I had a younger cousin who was also my favorite because it was like having a younger sister and so I was very protective and caring with her, and I still am...

but I do think my actual favorite now is my niece, my brother's daughter, and that's because I've been part of her life all along, since she was born (both of her parents work a whole lot, too much) and I pretty much co-parented and helped to raise her so now she's like a daughter to me, not really but I think you know what I mean... my dedication to her well-being and her happiness is like that, the one of a parent to their own child

Sadly it’s just because any and all those that I’ve had a close relationship too has done me wrong. Do I forgive yes but to be that vulnerable I can’t do it.

All the kids in my family including my own kids, my nephews and baby brother in laws. They are so much more chill compared to the adults
