How do you handle a friend who can be very rude for no reason?

So my friend calls anytime she wants but one evening I called her out of the blue around 7pm and she said in a rude tone “some of us have work in the morning” which I found to be quite rude considering she phones me at anytime she pleases. However, after that response I sort of gave her that not impressed look and she quickly replied “sorry”

im starting to dislike her as she can have her rude moments for no reason

this one time she decide to drive her car in Toronto and the busy highways she got angry at me and raised her voice “you don’t understand what I’m going through” only because she was not used to the bigger roads

is it ok to let go of a friend

I am a straight forward person and I would just tell her like it is. Say - if you want us to remain friends, then you don't have my permission to treat me in a rude manner. If you do it again, I will just hang up on you.

Give her a taste of her own medicine. Start being rude right back at her. Let her know that you won't tolerate it. If she doesn't change, be done with her.

I feel like she attempts to use me as she asked me to buy something for her ex so she has that excuse to talk to him. She also tends to text 24/7 if I don’t respond she wonders where I am or what I’m doing but doesn’t realise I have a job and partner I live with

Ignore her texts or turn your phone off when you don't want to be bothered.

I know but she told is also telling me to buy her ex boyfriend a gift so she can have an excuse to talk to him I feel like she can be a bit of a user you don’t really know the full story. Half her family doesn’t talk her because of the way she treats people
