How to make friends at a new school?

hi everybody ☺️ i moved to a new school a few weeks and i was wondering how to make friends. im deaf but i still talk to a few people and there nice but i haven't really made like friends

Aww that's tough when you have to go to a new school. I had to do that before. So best thing is to look at see if there are maybe some school clubs or something you could join. That would be the best bet. Find something that looks fun and try meeting people that way. Another would just be in class. Try getting a group study going where you can get more friendly with people. I did that during my undergrad degree and met a lot of people... some of who are still good friends. Hope this helps ya and good luck to you. Just give it some time and it will happen. 💜

Hey! Both those are great ideas. I am sure they have a swim team. Book club also an awesome idea! You will definitely meet some people that also like similar things that you like. That is a good start to making some friends that have stuff in common.

aw thanks ☺️❤️ i forgot to tell you i did find a book club that meets on wednesdays and fridays in the morning before school so thats cool ☺️ i did try to join the swim club but the seasons over so ill have to wait until next year but its ok

As @Nikki1989 says been friendly and just be yourself. Don’t try to stretch yourself being friends with everyone. Simply being friendly should be enough.
