Starting school, how do I make friends?

I moved to a new city more than a year ago and have absolutely failed to make friends.

I am starting a course and I desperately want to make at least one friend but I am just so so so bad at it. Every conversation turns out awkward and uncomfortable.

Any tips to make friends?

School like University or School like High:...

IF University then Meetup. I play soccer with an 11 year old who works his body agains "Apes (25-40 Internationals)" to distribute ball effectively... I also do Conservative Club... and do an "arm chair philosophy group as "Paul" the Christian.

LAUGHING and look at that kid.. I'm tired of that bone screw of an elbow... Awe is good. JOB connection in the Conservative Club.-Steadfastness required there. GOOD LUCK !!
