I would say, around 3rd grade. When I was in the 5th grade, we all went to the auditorium one day to watch a "special movie" on reproduction. They didn't get real graphic, but covered male and female anatomy and sperm cell meets egg cell, etc. Back in the classroom, during discussion time, one gal raised her hand and asked, "If the sperm cell belongs to the man, and the egg cell belongs to the woman, how do the two end up together?" The teacher explained it as well as she could without getting too graphic. I remember the guy next to me in class, could NOT keep a straight face and had to cover his face with a book. LOL

I think I was 10 when I heard about sex. 12 when I learned the specifics of sex. 15 when I learned the biology that goes into it.
