Am I a jerk for unplugging this guys heater repeatedly?

I work for a commercial cleaning company. In one of the office buildings I clean, there is a guy who often leaves his little space heater on under his desk. It's happend about three times last month. Once on a Friday, so it would have been running all weekend. I think I know how to shut it off, but I just completely unplug it, just to be safe. I havnt gotten any complaints telling me to stop unplugging it. Also, it's a fire hazard. I was thinking of having my boas email the company to talk to the employees about Turning their heaters off.

Unplugging the heater is fine. And so is having your boss sending out a polite email to building tenants about heaters.
