What would you do if one family member has bad intentions by touching and using another family members phone, most likely deleting their photos?

I would inquire why the family member is actively choosing to look through anothers personal phone.

If it's a minor, I can understand parental review of the online activity, but if its another adults phone, the family members are choosing to go through, that is disrespectful and unwarranted. Also, not respecting someones privacy is a huge issue, especially family who act like this and think they have the right to explore your electronic devices because you are "a close/ open family" No excuse to that behaviour.

Thanks for the reply, Sally. It was another adult who went through a family members phone. there was a part i left out of the story. which was this happened at a hospice. So it's quite disgusting.

@Asker I didn't know this when I answered just now. I'm guessing there is a LOT of bad blood revolving around who might be thinking they should be owed something should the worst happen?

Get a lockbox. Don't keep anything enticing or incriminating on your phone. And don't leave it lying around. Then move out asap.

If you're talking about 2 brothers for example, and I'm related to them? I'd sit them both down and ask why one was deleting the other ones numbers.

I'm willing to bet though, that wouldn't be the start of the disagreement. There is probably a whole can of worms bubbling under the surface waiting to be unleashed!

I really couldn't tell you why that person did it. But theirs is defiantly bad blood. It's like they want to sweep it under a rug and not take responsibility. or shift the blame onto another person

As soon as you mentioned Hospice, I thought to myself. This is DEFINITELY not the time to be stuck in the middle of a family feud. I wonder.. Can this matter be put on the back burner for a later date, because clearly you have far more important things to worry about going on? Or are that Family Member's actions directly RELATED to what is going on?
It's really hard to advise you the best course of action, because there is so much I don't expect you to explain. Trying to build a picture though is difficult!

yeah explaining this is difficult. but it's all related to what a family member did. and im saying if i know it's touched and used the phone. I wouldn't be surprised if deleted photos happened by the exact same person.

fingerprint or face ID don't exist for every phone im afraid. Would of been a really handy feature at the time
