Why are fathers criticized for their parenting decisions?

Fathers are more likely than mothers to feel judged by their spouse or partner for how they parent their children, according to the Center’s fall 2022 survey of parents. Among fathers who are married or living with a partner and have children under 18 years old, 56% say they feel this way at least sometimes, compared with 49% of mothers.

Traditionally a father is meant to help their kid grow through discomfort whether it's discipline or telling their kid what they need to hear. It's more divisive and involves taking more risks.

I doubt most fathers are criticized more than mothers, but I can see why they'd feel judged more.

I don't know, I would have to see a statistic on how many people criticize fathers vs mother to know if it's true and why. Just because they feel more judged doesn't mean they are, so it doesn't really matter how men or women feel. It goes along with how just because black people feel like they are more discriminated against doesn't mean that they actually are.
