Kids just need strong role models that encourage them to be confident and comfortable with who they are, while always knowing that we can all get better all the time. It doesn’t matter what you call that role model or what they look like. A young child can be incredibly strong when put in a hard situation, and the biggest guy at your gym could crumble. Building strength of character is everything.

It's important to get away from this idea of any group of people as all or nothing. I grew up with a very loving father who I am extremely grateful to have raised me who showed up for literally any and everything I ever needed in life. Kids need fathers because of men LIKE my father. Period.
