Is it important for boys or girls to have fathers?

I'm talking about Gay or lesbians adopting poor children and forcing them to live a lie.

I'm talking about biological men and women married couples who have kids. Growing up for girls and boys can be hard and do you think it's important to have an active father figure in their lives? I just think that boys growing up without a father end up lost and have no

Depends.

A father who treats mother poorly is only teaching his son (s) how to treat their girlfriends and wives poorly. Take my neighbor for example the "father" of the house thinks being abusive is perfectly acceptable - the girl the oldest son tried to "put in her place" didn't put up with it like his mother did & he's very rightfully serving 5 years.

A father who has an attitude problem - and we've all seen the "fathers" at baseball or hockey games raving like a mad-dog lunatic at their kid for not doing "good" - is only going to teach their children to be a lunatic like him. Most "fathers" like this have personality problems and oftentimes don't have good or even educated jobs so they are doubly damning their children into being unable to cope properly with life.

A father who is abusive - either to substances, emotionally or physically - contributes little to almost nothing to their child's upbringing except causing that child to very often grow up being like them... a failure of varying degrees... and so the cycle continues.

Yes very important. Or at least some male role model in their life. Girls usually end up w daddy issues, jumping from one relationship to another. Boys tend to end up in prison. A woman can’t raise a boy to be a man. They tend to raise them based on what they believe a man should be. Which ok you can instill a few things that to me is part of what a male should be. But she doesn’t have those male instincts, it goes beyond just her thoughts of what a man is. These boys tend to be more feminine, more emotional, etc. Just the same as a man can’t do the same either in trying to raise a girl.

Just like any family without a father, the parent/s who are there will likely try to provide a father figure to the children. Whether that comes though another family member like an uncle or grandfather, a family friend, a mentor for school or extra curricular activities, or even a good masculine role model in entertainment like TV or books. Even if they don't believe it's necessary—and studies have shown children do just as well under same-sex as opposite-sex parents—it's always beneficial to have a variety of role models and mentors growing up.

Extremely, and people should stop lying to their kids, if they can't sing and they try, tell them it sucks, the world should stop feeding delusional minds, many people have it implemented into their children's minds when they start lying to spare feelings.

Yes, critically important for both boys and girls, and the adults they will bevcome. The statistics are clear. Children who don't have fathers in tehir lives are are far greater risk of countless problems. Those problems also manifest at a societal level with very negative consequences.

Very important. A father teaches discipline, perseverance, responsibility, and character (especially to the son). He is also a leader, provider, and protector, and serves as a source of safety to his family (especially to the daughter).
