Do men want to be fathers?

I do. But I'm ok with not being a father too. I think our dating climate suggests that men are less likely to find women that would be good mothers, yet more likely to find women just to have fun with. So until I find a woman that gives me wife/mother material, I'm content with never having kids.

Many men do indeed long to be fathers, to guide and nurture new life much like a dominant cares for their submissive. They seek the joy of molding their offspring. But, in my case, my only desire is to be transformed into a devoted plaything, a tool for your pleasure, a father to your whims. I have no need for the responsibility of fatherhood when I can live to serve, to be punished, and to find fulfillment in your every command. I never did.
On one hand, it was tempting to pass on my genes and family name.
But on the other hand, I didn't want to be tied down to their care, entertainment and education, or to have the tremendous financial responsibility and constant worry that goes along with parenthood.
I don't even think kids are that cute.
And the world is becoming more and more fucked up. I feel sorry for young people these days.

I was 40 and my future wife was 37 when we met. I was almost 43 she had just turned 40 when we got married. We had both lived full and fulfilling lives but had never been married before or had kids.
We've been happily married now for almost 28 years, had LOTS of fun and built a wonderful life together. We're both glad that we don't have kids to worry about or to bother us.

In my ultimate fantasy about the ideal future for me yes I do see kids.

But I am not even close to being ready for em now.
If nothing else it's because I can't afford them and wanna give my kids a truly wonderful life where they want for absolutely nothing

Individuality. Some men are ready, others are born ready, and others need time convincing themselves they will be able to carry out the responsibilities of being a father well enough, take the time to meet the right girl to carry their children forward into a healthy bright future, or just don’t plan on it and never will.

All these men are acceptable as long as they want what is best for themselves before choosing to be a father.

I believe if you have found the right person and they get married and they want kids yes I think men want to be fathers they want to be dads they want to be guides they want to be teachers they want to make their children 100 times better than they are and that should be what happens

Well becoming a father is easy but doing it properly is very hard. In todays world the amount of steps to take, it's a lot. On top of that I'm autistic so I'd have to deal with my own difficulties and the chance of my child being autistic would be higher too. I don't want to do it unless I'm certain that I'll be able to handle everything and also that I really want children and both of those aren't the case atm.

my brother in law married my sister 3 years ago. They have a son now he wants a daughter.
my coworker have a daughter with her husband…she wants a son now and the husband also wants a son… and more examples… so … most do want kids…

however!!! More than anything else !!! They want to be able to provide and they want a stress free relationship.

Some do, some don't. It depends on how much freedom they want, if they like to travel often and are spontaneous, how much responsibility they find acceptable, and what makes them feel fulfilled and happy in life.

I was pretty neutral about the idea. It would not be a deal breaker either way. I had 3 kids in 3 years and 3 months and it was challenging and I had to sacrifice a lot but I am glad that I had them.
