What's the saddest experience you ever had?

For me, it's when I lost my aunt who was only 24 when she passed away. I was only 17 at the time. We were more like sisters. The one time my faith in God was tested.

My dad was shot at a job in the fields he got after retiring because social security wasn’t covering his expenses, he fell into a coma and died after he held on long enough to say goodbye to all his children including my sister that lives 4 hours away. My mom never recovered and struggles with anxiety and we lost my childhood home and we became homeless. I was in high school and this all happened a week before I graduated. I was valedictorian and he wasn’t there to hear the speech I wrote thanking him (He was an immigrant turned citizen and I am first generation) he had pre ordered flowers and I got them day of.

Sorry for your loss. For me its when my Dad died. He was like my best friend. I knew Alcahol & cigarettes were starting to make him very sick. But he couldnt stop. He always tried. But he was too ashamed. I was 27. I was going down that path too, but I quit smoking cigarettes after that. And I barely drink now.

It was the day my father died. I had just become unemployed and i felt like things could not get worse. Then my father died. He was 70 but I never thought of him as old. He died at work and somebody at work called me and said he was taken to the hospital. By the time I got there he was already gone. I knew the paramedics that transported him. They told me that they brought him back twice but then they could not revive him. He died the day before he was going to retire. I still have questions without answers.

Losing family or someone you love is the saddest experience for almost everyone.
I have lost both my parents when I was young so for me that was the roughest experience, I guess, cause I after that I have stopped caring much about other things.
