I was raped by my cousin when I was 9 he was 14 and I was afraid to tell my parents because my cousin told me they would disown me. He also told me that it was my fault what he did because I was wearing a belly shirt at the time I felt like I was the worst girl in the world. I kept it too myself for 5 years. I took it out on my little brother just because he's a boy and even got my little sister to be mean to him. I told my parents last year and they were so supportive and wished I had told them when it happened. I got into therapy and learned that what happened wasn't my fault and now I treat my brother nicer. I feel guilty about treating him so badly that now I hug him all the time and tell him how much I love him.
When my brother died. Basically everything in my house changed, even my parents. And it's evident by the way my house's state has evolved into. Before: windows open 24/7 so there was a lot of light, pretty decorations, family pictures, my parents had an active life. After: No light in the house, curtains and windows closed all day long, my parents don't go outside of the bed, they stay all day watching tv, so I have to take care of the house and get the food, everything is so quiet. We don't celebrate Christmas, Thanksgiving nor new year's eve. It's like everything is sad now, and it still is although it has been 5 years since my brother died
I’m sorry for your loss
thank you
Having to decide with my sister to remove our mom from life support. 😭 It's strange, but in one way it wasn't really a difficult decision at all. We knew that that was the only real choice and it's what she would have wanted. But it's still very painful today. I still have a lot of guilt or not having been with her more and having done more. That's why when my dad got cancer I did everything that I could before he died. Had to make the decision to put him in hospice. 😥
Probably when I was a kid, blowing something out of proportion.

I'm a nurse. COVID takes that title with little competition.
Thank you for taking care of people and doing your best during this pandemic 🤍🤍🤍
For me, it was knowing that he was the one that got away. I underestimated the pain of that until it happened to me.
I don’t know I’ve had a lot of them over the years. But probably my best friend killing himself.
that one left lasting scars I’m not sure I’ll ever heal from.
Well… Abusive relationships, loss of biological parents, addiction, and being a caregiver all take the lead in painful emotional experiences.
The few times when the people I was closest to decided that they didn't want me in their lives anymore.
When I was dumped by a girl I was madly in love with and thought she felt the same way about me.
Found out my ex was cheating with another guy and had been kicking the shit out of our 3 year old when I wasn't home.
@Justerino made the mistake of going to social services and not making a police statement should have went straightto the police. Not that they'd have done anything, a woman just has to claim abuse and mental health problemswhereas if a man did that to his kid he'd be locked up. If I'd knocked her across the room she'd have been able to explain away what she did because I was an abusive violent partner, instead she was only able to claim "emotional abuse, financial abuse, coercive control". She did try to claim rape but I had taped her threatening me with it. The other guy is some 50 year window cleaner that gave her an std, she's with him now and thankfully I didn't break his jaw like I wanted to thanks to my father, he's a bit of a sleazy record and social services recommended he not be left alone with my son.
I wonder how many so called abusive men found themselves manipulated into the situation or driven to it.
@Justerino I see my kid 3/7 days. She made the mistake of letting me having him every weekend, because it suited her. Then when she tried to make it every other weekend and slot the new guy into my place she couldn't. She decided to go legal sending me threatening letters with the usual false accusations right out of the women's aid playbook you know bullying, harassment, verbal abuse, intimidation, following etc and tried to get a restraining order, non-molestation order, prohibited steps order and tried multiple times to get me arrested. Usually she sends the solicitor letter b4 trying to get something started.
I tool her to court and got my 3/7 days, she's fuming about it not because she wants the kid more but because it cut child support by 2/3 and it looks bad publicly as she was trying to blacken my name as a bad guy.
