What type of friend would ask a man's wife out on a date?

My husband's so called ''good friend'' texted me on my messenger yesterday, asking me out on a date to the movies and then to eat on a restaurant, but just the two of us, that my husband doesn't need to know.

This was my reply back:

You're joking right? Are you ******* out of your mind?

He then kept telling me to calm down. Then started going off on how my husband can't give me kids, what's the point of staying, etc.

I was horrified at what I was reading. He was suppose to be one of my husband's closed and trusted friend. He knows why he can't ever father a child and yet he was using that against him on that message. Over the last couple weeks during reunions, he was acting a bit friendlier than usual but I didn't think anything other then just being cordial. Then it started getting weird whenever he would suddenly appear online whenever I was online. Now this message. I felt disgusted. I've already shown my husband and he proceeding to unfriending and blocking him. What type of friend does that?

He isn’t a friend, a friend doesn’t do that shit period. , if I was your husband? I would go knock this POS out for making passes at you , behind my back like he did. Sadly this sort of thing happens more than we like to think it does , it just goes to show we can’t trust everyone. Females’ do this shit as well, sadly to say , I encountered this as well from both sexes , when I was in relationships , Not only did I have so called friends try to do this behind my back , she had friends’ that tried to do this to her behind her back as well. I can’t tell you who to be friends with and who not to be friends with , but my advice to you and your husband , is to distance yourselves from friends that do not respect your relationship whatso ever , meaning friends’ that talk shit about your relationship behind you or your husbands’ backs , usually friends that talk shit , are the friends that you should stay clear from. Anyone that talks shit period about you or your husband , end that friendship immediately. I don’t care how nice that friend is to you , if they say one negative thing about your husband , kick that friendship to the curb and your husband should do the same. Because they are not friends , they are toxic friends. You did the right thing by telling your husband the truth about this POS. And if your husband runs into this POS , your husband should confront him and make it clear to him , that he better not find out that he is trying to make anymore contact with you? , or he will be knocked the fuck out. Me personally , would just knock him the fuck out, but I know most people are scared of cops and getting charges pressed against them. In this type of situation , I don’t give a fuck. Friends do not do this shit to friends period. I knocked out a few called friends that did this and they didn’t call the cops, because they realized they were wrong or they were scared shitless who knows. All I know is they deserved being knocked out for being a POS.

What kind of man? A rodent. A loser. A man who lacks the confidence to go get to know women on his own and so uses his trust and proximity to another man’s woman (usually his friends or teammates) to slowly build up a false sense of comfort and imaginary attraction. Then, he emboldens himself by playing out fantasies in his head where he misinterprets her courtesy, politeness, and hospitality, as manifestations of her desire for him.

Sadly, I have met men like this before. They are not rare. They are not uncommon. They lurk in the shadows of decent men and try to slide into their marriages and relationships, with not even an inkling of shame. Then, when called out, they try to shift blame to her (often times) convincing themselves in the process that SHE was the problem and SHE created the situation.

I would have just shown the thing to my guy and blocked the offensive so-called friend from the start so my SO/hubbie knows this isn’t a thing I’m considering or taking part in. ANY response to the offensive guy is considered engagement on that guy’s end. Don’t do it.

The friend crossed the line. He was never really your husband's friend. Maybe at first until he met you. He was just using him to get to you at that point. I wouldn't feel like you just ruined a friendship or even care what this person says. Lesson learned. Also, females may go through you to get to him. Grats on how you handled it!
