What would you do if others acquired the wealth inherited from your grandfather?

Let's say your mother did not go to visit her father because she was very stupid and ignorant, and what would you do if the inheritance was left to someone else after her father died?

Nothing.

It's ironic you say this. Because my grandfather was a millionaire. And my mother is sort of the black sheep of the family. Now since he died the inheritance has been tied up and squabbled over by my mother and her sisters. My mother was left an inheritance by my grandfather. But my mother's sisters are doing everything they can to keep my mother from receiving it.

My mother has gotten by for 80+ years. Without much help from her family. And she'll always have the support of ours. I personally don't care if she ever gets the inheritance. Because no amount of money buys class. And as far as I'm concerned thier family doesn't have a whole lot of class.

I give my grandfather credit. Who grew up in the great depression. His father was a drunk. His mother died when he was young. He had every excuse to fail (financially) but he didn't. He built his life into a (financial) success. But I also think this permeated his life. I remember visiting him when I was a kid (he lived on the other side of the country, so we didn't visit much). But he had an entire room full of canned goods. And I think it's because he lived through the great depression. I think the combo of lack of money and parental love resulted in him teaching his kids a toxic way to love. My mother's entire family appears spoiled and appear to get off on hurting eachother. They also would fight/compete for my grandfather's love. And my grandfather would do nothing to prevent that. Like he seemed to enjoy it or at least have no problem with it. I would NEVER treat my sister's they way that her sisters treat her.

Nothing. I'd respect his wishes. It was his hard earned money, he can inherit it to whomever he wishes.
