I have received a substantial amount from my parents as pre-inheritance and that money is now quietly sleeping and resting in a bank, not multiplying.
I am not interested in losing a cent, investing in bonds and share, knowing that the current economical and political situations may impact negatively on those funds.
I am neither interested in becoming rich as richness causes greed and wanting more and more money.
This is not my way of thinking.
you sound privileged and grateful. that's a position we all want
I am grateful that my parents have delegated a fair share of their estate to me.
However, I am not in need and, in fact, far from it.
Therefore, I won't spend a dime of it.
It'll be there for them if & when the need arises.
I do have plans to grow their estate in honor of them.
My siblings, also well-to-do, have concurred with me as well.
is the growing the estate a part of continuing the inheritance
I put away the great part of it for my children.
I sold a couple of the properties, and acquired my new house in the US and a couple of nice apartments back in my country, and I keep cultivating and caring for the share of business entrusted to me while building new ones.
My sister and I toiled endlessly to earn all of this, it wasn't freely given to us. We had to put out blood, sweat and tears for our father before he'd consider making us his heirs.
I would like to just go an a big vacation and do all sorts of interesting death defying things but Really I know i would invest it for the future. Since my parents have both died i do not expect to inherit much of anything anyway.
where would you like to go?
they look a bit alike and i don't know? never done the 50 states on a bike.

I'll have a beer or two.
... what ''heritage'' ?
i know. we are as weak as are grandfathers.
Well - I never made plans about it. What I need or want must come out of my own initiative.
I have no claim on what others before me had achieved. If I get a share, then it's welcome. But it's not ''essential''.
you never made plans to be born.
And since: I never planned to exploit the achievements of others.
i take it that you will receive nothing like me?
I guess so.
Spend it wisely knowing future generations will need it.
that implies having a family and continuing to bolster the inheritance.
I would pass it to the next generation, I already have my own plans...
No inheritance or future generations
Once my parents are gone, I'm not sticking about
