Why does a person who comes to you when they need someone and claim that you're friends but don't invite you anywhere and exclude you?

Because they just see you as the back burner friend unfortunately. They only hang out with you when it's convenient for them or have no one else to, you should ditch them.

The crazy thing is we never hang out at all. Everything is limited to texting which quite frankly is annoying. If the person in question is the opposite sex is it the same thing?

Yeah I would think so. I guess they're just using you for advice or when they feel lonely or need a favor

Yes it is, it's pretty ungrateful

It definitely is but at the same time they don't owe you anything. You can't really call them out on it because most of the time they see nothing wrong with what they're doing.

No but it goes both ways, I wouldn't owe them anything either if they're not really my friend. I'd just not give them as much of my time anymore if they behaved that way
