Is my health insurance stupid expensive or is this normal?

For my husband, daughter, and I we pay $400/ month. That includes primary health, dental, and eye for the 3 of us. Its the middle amount of coverage on my work health plan including a deductable with low out of pocket costs after that.

We'd like to have more children but it's like an extra $130/month for every new human. In my head I'm like wtf brooother. Is this normal or are we being bamboozled? It just seems kinda crazy. We joke that if we have more kids they'll have to rock paper scissors for which one gets coverage that year 🤣 100% kidding but seriously what is everyone else paying out here?

My uncle practiced medicine while having a rare eye condition and he had really good insurance. If he were to quit his job, he would get $80,000 a year for the rest of his life from insurance payments, even into his 90s. He did not quit cause he made more money from working.

Health insurance in the US is expensive, much higher than most other countries. That's less than I was paying for my wife and myself, just the two of us, for health, dental and eye coverage, and that was after my employer made its contribution.
