490 opinions shared on Family & Friends topic. No not even... Unless she's a baby... . I don't know how old your daughter is but if you don't trust her you're feeling about it the wrong way..
You have to realize who she is who she has become is because of what she has witnessed heard and seen with you
If you yell and scream at her when you don't like something she's done then that's who she's going to become.
If you're talking on the phone with one of your girlfriends in your talking crap you're talking about other people that's who your daughter is going to become
If you have a boyfriend or a husband and you're in an argument and you yell and scream you're teaching her that's who to become when she gets in a relationship...
If a bill is due and you lie about it to whomever that's who your daughter is going to become
If you have a whiny tone of voice and body language when you're arguing that's who she's going to become
Everything that you do she is watching she is learning she doesn't even know it but that's who she's going to become..
How you talk to her how you treat her how you trust her how you respect her that's how she's going to become.
So what I'm trying to say is that you need to think before you speak you need to pay attention to everything that you say and do you need to make it about her and not about you if you want her to be a good person..
Like I said I don't know how old she is but you've already set the foundation you've already set things in motion and you can still fix the things that you might have messed up on by changing and looking at yourself knowing your daughter is going to be just like you whether you like it or not whether you like yourself or not and I hope you do like yourself and I hope you do the right things because you have to understand your daughter's very important and your actions will create her actions00 Reply

You can store cameras in any room of you home. If they are recording your daughter that's a bit unethical unless you're just trying to keep an eye on your newborn. If you happen to record your children naked, then you've accidentally stepped into child pornography which has serious consequences.

As an older sister, I get the worry about keeping your sibling safe, but putting a camera in their room can be tricky. It can be helpful for babies or temporary situations, but for older kids, it raises privacy and ethical concerns. I don't really know the age of your daughter that you're referring to, but let me tell u a story about my 9yo sister. Our mom put a baby cam in her room when a guest came over with a baby and then totally forgot to take it down after. One day, while I was at work, I checked the camera on my phone and saw her riding the neighbor boy like a horse! She’s older and bigger than him, and there he was, on all fours, with her using a scarf as a rein. It looked like she was being a bit bossy and maybe even a bully, but weirdly enough, he seemed really willing to go along with it. It was innocent play, but it made me think about privacy and boundaries. I talked to her about finding better ways to have fun that respect each other. Cameras can be useful for babies or temp situations, but kids need their privacy. It's better to talk openly with them instead of constant surveillance. Plus, there's ethical concerns too—kids deserve their own space, and as an older sister, fostering trust is key.

1 yYes, you daughter has a right to privacy.
Only under exceptional circumstance that privacy should be violated... If there is a very strong suspicion the daughter's well-being is at risk... but other than that "No".
If she is still really young... Baby/ Toddler age, a 'Baby Monitor', one that operates on Sound, is more than enough to keep an eye on your child.00 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)1 yHaving a camera for very young children/infants is fine if worried about their safety. However, after 3 or 4 that would be a shitty thing to do. You can do it anyway, but remember your kids don't have to have any sort of relationship with you when they turn 18. They will never forgive you if they found out they were under constant surveillance 24/7. Complete invasion of privacy.
I didn't and don't know a single kid who had cameras in their room (at least that we know of) and we turned out ok.
00 ReplyYou know you're supposed to add context, right? Like is it so perv on her because you're a pedo? Is it because she's a baby and you want to monitor her? Is she a young kid and you're worried someone is abusing her? Are you just trolling?

1 yYes It's helpful to put cameras in your daughter's room. Make sure you put many of them and keep them well hidden , they should record 1080p video so that when she is changing clothes or pleasuring herself you can watch her in HD.

1 yUnless she's a baby, definitely wrong. Everyone deserves privacy and to be able to have a safe space where no one bothers them. It helps with mental stability.

I get wanting to protect your child, but unless she's a baby/toddler, that's super overkill. Don't be a helicopter mom.
00 ReplyWould it have been wrong if your mom put cameras in your room?

Same here. Three teens. If staying in their room and being flippant is you're reasoning you haven't come close to meeting the bar for cameras. Your kids are perfectly normal

00 Reply It's wrong. If they're going to do something, it'll be outside home.
00 Reply... Ok you wanna make sure she won't do drugs in her room... What if she does drugs in the bathroom? - Are you gonna put cameras there too?

It is becoming problematic at those ages. Legally it possibly is. Ethically I think it depends on your motivation and whether they know and agree to it.
If you were collecting footage of them dressing for purposes of selling the same, it is clearly NOT OK
If you had cameras in every room of the house out of security concerns it becomes OK. Motivation and purpose is important here.
