Oh yeah girl, I totally get what you mean. It can be tough finding friends who are super into the same niche interests and hobbies as you. A few suggestions:
- Check if there are any local meetup groups related to your interests, like producer meetups, DJ events, label showcases etc. Great way to bond over your passion.
- Look on social media for pages related to your scene and engage with people there. Strike up convos and meetups could come from that.
- Go to shows, jams, workshops - even just to observe at first. Bond over the music you both love and friends will come naturally.
- Reach out to local producers online as well, see if any would be down to collab, give feedback, jam in studio. Building trust takes time but worth it.
- Check if your college/community has a music club or class. Great low-key way to meet fellow grinders.
Don't give up! It may take trying different avenues but the right crew is out there. In the meantime just focus on your craft and having fun with it - people will gravitate towards your passion and energy. You've got this sis!
