Why is it hard for me to make friends?

I'm the type of person who cares about others a lot. Even though I don't know you I care. I'm very nice to people but one thing I don't understand is even though I'm nice and caring why is it hard for me to make friends?

I mostly make guy friends but I want to make more girl friends. But the thing is the guys I have as friends are always trying to flirt with me even though I've told them I'm not ready for a relationship or I'm not interested.

I just want to know why the girls don't want to be friends with me and why those guys keep on flirting with me cause I'm just being nice and I can't stop it cause that's just the way I am.

Hmm, I have always found it easier to get along with guys. Not that I don't have some very close girlfriends, just always easier to make friends with guys is my experience. Most never make a pass at me or expect more than friendship. So, I guess I am lucky there.

Have you thought about getting involved in activity groups or clubs at school or your local area? There you can meet people that enjoy the same thing that you do and you can interact with girls that already share a common interest.

I always find those group to activities are a good way to meet new people. Plus, you get to do something you are interested in. Win-win. So, that is my best advice is to find some group that you are interested in and see how that goes.

I bet you will meet a lot of friendly people (from both genders) that you can share a hobby or activity with. Best of luck to you!

lol you are my twin then... You are cool and different so no other gurl will resist you at all and once guy find out your cool charisma he will probably get attracts towards you... You will rarely get a girl as friend cause I've been facing same shit

So you are saying that guys like you but girls do not. The girl I am "hanging out with" now was a TomBoy growing up, hung the boys, and... beat some of them up... I've talked to the guy in fourth grade who grabbed her butt. She chased him down at the edge of school yard and beat him up with her shoe.. she was given a weeks vacation from school. Her parents gave her a bowl haircut too and first skirt was 12 according to her Mom. It is the saddest child photo album ever made.

She got both an academic and a Judo scholarship into University. She's still tough... all 5ft 1in of her.
She did not have one girlfriend until she went to university... Girls were scared of her because she was smart and tough...
