Why is it so hard to make friends?

If i was reborn and grew up in the 80s or 90s, without friends i would still be doing what i did in this life time, staying home playing video games or watching tv

Are you an introvert? Do you initiate conversation with people? I've seen most of the introverts make an effort by reaching out on social media instead. Have you tried that? Or maybe join a club you're interested in, that way you can meet some people who share at least one common interest.

I understand. I'm glad you're making an effort. Some people don't know how to socialise, so it can get awkward while few others are anti-social or are rude because of bad experiences. But you've got to keep trying. You'll meet some like minded folks who would love to be friends with you.

I don't know but, looking at the Frankenstein story on the eve of Halloween, I think getting the body parts, stitching them together, and reanimating them would be make it almost impossible to make friends. And the electric bill would be scary.

I just chat up random strangers until I hit it off with some existing people.

I think making friends is something that is lucky. Those that are super lucky don't understand those that are not.

Friends don’t just show up. Relationships grow based on proximity, meaning you might have to put in more effort to make friends with the people already around you, if not start regularly going somewhere new

Yes but back then there weren’t as many options in video games and TV so people got bored and went outside more

I said 80s and 90s. Cartoons still existed, and NES came out in 1985 so and a lot came out in the 90s
