Is it weird that my sister in law asked me if I have a debit or credit card?

Well she's from another country, my brother married her and she came to live here about 7 months ago or so, but we don't talk much to each other. We've hung out a few times but I don't know, it's almost like we're trying to force it.. it doesn't feel so natural. And lately she's been pretty quiet and was a little cold to my mom. Also my mom says that she already talked about divorcing my brother during a fight. I'm not trying to complain about her, so far she seems like a good person in general, I just said that to give some insight.

So anyway, today she sent me a text asking if I have a debit or credit card. It seemed a little odd to me because like I said, we don't have that kind of trust between each other. If she was thinking to buy something online or send money back home or whatever why didn't she just ask my brother? He has cards. And it's not like they were outside and their card got declined because they were home when I got the text, also even if that were the case I'm pretty sure my brother would have called me. I just replied that I have one but that I was having a problem with it and had to call the card company to figure it out. Does anyone have any opinion on why she could have asked? Do you find it weird?
