Cuz they're fun! Out of biological level to pass on your genes, add a selfish level to have somebody to take care of you in your old age. At a emotional level to build a deeper connection with your spouse. Unfortunately some people have kids just because they feel it's the thing to do and they are in no way fit to be parents. I am still for people having kids but I would ask them to really think about how many they want.

Glad to hear it. I have some more unsolicited advice as a high school teacher and having seen many of you go off to college. Here it is:

College has nothing to do with what you learn in the classroom and everything to do with what you learn about yourself.

Next, college is for finding your bridesmaids, not your fiance.

Last, When you're living off campus, never ever ever go food shopping until you've gone out to eat first and you have a full stomach. Shopping on an empty stomach just causes impulse buys and college kids don't have the money for it!

I actually had several students come back to me and say they don't remember shit about what I taught but they remembered that and it was the best advice they ever got! 😂😂😂🤷‍♂️
