Took my friends advice to bleach hair at home and it looks terrible. Do you think she secretly knew it would?

Now it looks terrible and it’s so hard not to be angry at her.

Bleach is caustic. It is a chemical literally used to clean biological debris/waste.




It is corrosive… put a drop of bleach on your skin and leave it there… watch what will happen. That being said, yeah. Putting bleach on your hair was a stupid idea.










Here’s a great idea for you. Stop trying to change aspects about yourself and instead be happy with who you are. That way you won’t find yourself in these types of situations

I am a non professional aswell but I regulary bleach my hair and got some experience.

What hair color do you have? What did you use to bleach? What are you unhappy with now?

I used a box platinum blonde box dye bleach twice then several different purple toners and my hair is still yellow…my hair is in reasonable condition “hasn’t fallen out” 😂

I fear I’m going to have to use a stronger bleach to lift it which will fry my hair or just go darker and give up lol

I guess its to late to say that now but always use less of the time than what it says on the package. Simply because you can always bleach more if you're not happy but going back... well you know now.

I as dirty blonde just use sodium + hydrogen peroxide I mix toghether and apply for 15-20 min on my hair and then just use a purple toner if I have some yellow tone.

Definitvly dont use another bleach now or you might loose/damage your hair even more, I am suprised you dont get the yellow tone out with the purple stuff

No I don’t think she was trying to sabotage you, she can only advise from experience and form her experience it’s worked fine. Your flaw was absolutely taking that kind of advice from a non professional, and you must take accountability rather than try redirecting blame elsewhere.

Why you go to a professional hair stylist before attempting to do it yourself. Now that your hair is fucked , now you have to go to a hair stylist to see if they can fix it for you.

If she's less attractive, or worried you're "catching up" with her, she'll def sabotage you. Normal behavior.
