Three friends from my previous job reached out and wanted to meet up, so I decided to join them. It was great, and then a few other friends stopped by to greet us and sat down nearby. Suddenly, I noticed one of my friends getting into a heated argument with a stranger. I informed my former colleagues that this was my friend and that I needed to step in to help resolve the situation. Once the issue was settled, I took some time to talk to my friend and understand what had caused the clash. When I went back to my former coworkers, I realized they had left without saying anything.
What do you think happened? Did I make the wrong choice by leaving to support my friend?

Nope you made the right choice! Honestly why leave they sound like they just wanted a drinking buddy not a friend!
I'd never hang out with them. Work friends are not true friends.
I thought they felt that I used my friend's issue as an excuse to leave, but I believe the opposite is true.
It’s hard to say. Did your role in resolving the matter make you look bad?
I dealt with the situation effectively and was a strong support for my friend. It didn't reflect poorly on me at all. Even I told before I went that I'd be right back and I needed to handle this situation
Then I wouldn’t worry about it
