Can any guys help me on this situation?

I met this guy from a dating site back in 2023. We talked for awhile online 1st before meeting up & we had one great date. After that he messaged saying our started relationship but I told him we should get to know each other better first. He agreed & we’d just talk.

However, after a month since our date he had to go back to P. I. I thought he was just going back for vacation but no it was because of his visa being expired. He told me he was a contract engineer. He told me possibly 6 months to a year before he can come back to Guam.

So we’d talk a lot and update each other on our lives since then. He showed a lot of interest in my life & conversations with him, it took him awhile to say he misses me, but I told him sometimes it upsets me that we’re not able to talk on the phone or video chat but he claimed internet issues at home. I convinced him to do some video chats recently last year. He never asked me for money but just mentions our started relationship when we didn’t make things official & I always told him let’s get to know each other better first. I don't know why I kept hesitating so much. I really liked him & he made it clear he really liked me too.

Tho there was times he changed his username to a completely diff name & I freaked out he explained he doesn’t like Facebook much. He apologized & promised to change his name back to the original one. (Spoiler he never changed it back)

Sometimes I was upset w/him that he didn’t remember some details about me that I told him but I remembered details about him he told me. He’d apologized but say his memory is not good anymore. He always talked about finding overseas job since he couldn’t find local job or applying for new passport. He indirectly talked about he needs to get marred to U. S citizen if he was to return back to GU.

He told me about an overseas job in Greece but now told me we should stop messaging for now. He says we’re like acquaintances even tho he claims he wants to be with me. What should I do?
