Yes and no
Yes because you want to pass on your skill set to the next generation. You want that feeling and meaning in your life for something to come home to, raise and protect. Having a child especially a daughter changes most mens’ prospective and meaning in life. It is also a way for a father to relive their childhood and youth through and with their children where you get to do things and enjoy that maybe you never got a chance to do or you would like them to experience whether it be hobbies or going places


The down side to it is the meany costs of life. Not just the financial aspect but also the personal and environmental aspects. Investing your time with them when work is all you know. Showing certain affection and patiences that is needed. Dealing with society and what norms and values they deem is necessary. Teaching them your own value that you understand that may or may not be important in cultural upbringing. And instilling values when your partner or other half may impose their own. There are many benefits and down sides to parenthood
