Husband loves his fish, kid loves the fish, personally I don't rlly care. They're neat and pretty but they're behind glass. They are accounted for on vacations and such but we can't take them with us, they can't come from living room to bed room to dining room etc, we can't share food with them or touch them (kid has tried, was quickly corrected). I would say they're about as family as fish can get but that is not a lot in my opinion. Once kid is a little older I wanna get a dog, we also like dogs & it would be more family like.

Absolutely! Our cat is named POTUS. We call him Poatie. He's a big orange man who gets whatever he wants. The house is his. We adore him.

I was at restaurant once, and two young lasses (one of which had a dog) asked for a seat for 3 people. And let's say it was a pretty crowded restaurant in the dinner time, so someone else could probably use that seat.
