Mine is kind of erratic. But after expenses it's been about 30k annually the past few years.

I'm not rich. I've just built up to this. I live below my means. I haven't taken a vacation in 20 years. and It took me years. To get to this point. I think I'm probably better than avg. But I'm not rich.
What you do
What I do is not really relevant. Suffice it to say I've never made more than 45k a year. But I've always saved and invested 15% of my income and that has compounded over 2 and a 1/2 decades. So now it's like having almost a 2nd income. I don't cash any of it out because then I'd have lest to compound. And it might seem like a lot but consider that represents 25 years. Of my life. I want to retire at some point in my life. And I'd like that standard to be at least as good as the one I'm living now.
So when you put all those things together I'm doing just better than avg. Or at least that's the way I see it.
